Oskar Blues Shipping Water to Flint, MI

“Hey Flint, Michigan, we’ve got 50,000 cans of fresh water comin’ atchu. It took a little bit for our CAN’d Aid Foundation crew to figure out the logistics, but Oskar Blues Brewery North Carolina is canning and shipping the water as we speak.”
The crisis in Flint began nearly two years ago, when the city abandoned its old water source — Lake Huron — and opted for a cheaper one, Flint River. But the new supply corroded water pipes, and lead leached into the system.
Flint switched back, but lead levels in its water supplies have remained high, leaving vulnerable groups, such as children, at risk.

  • Massage Monday: 5-8 PM $10 for 10 minutes with licensed therapist, Josh Lentz.
  • Beer Flights: nine 5 oz samples for $18.
  • Monday Night Nitro: $1 off nitrogen pours.

Tuesday:

  • $1 off all ciders, glasses of wine & mead.

Wednesday:

  • Sour Night: $1 off select sour ales
  • BYOT (Bring Your Own Trivia): The next wave of pub trivia. Prizes include gift certificates to Chop’s Deli, Memory Lane Comics, Marks of Distinction, as well as beer from us.

  • Throwback Thursday: Revisit one of our old favourite beers.
  • ExBEERiment: This week, Lector will be infusing Oskar Blues IPA “The Blue Dream” with Michael Jenkins’ ginger, lemongrass & Thai chilies. The first pint pours at 9 PM.

  • New Favourite Friday: Try the latest & greatest!

  • Bartender’s Choice: You never know what you’re going to get!

Sunday:

  • Beer Church: Join us this Sunday for Anderson Valley can-shaped pint glasses! We’ll have Hop Ottin’ IPA on tap as well as Blood Orange Gose and Boont Amber in cans. Masses are at 1 PM and 8 PM.
